Back in 1947, three gentlemen (John Upthegrove, a commercial fisherman; Frank Kinch, a farmer; and Harold Finan, a banker) pooled their resources to create Port Austin Level. Since then, Port Austin Level has grown from a one-room work shop to a full-sized factory which includes an aluminum foundry.
The company's goal is to give tradesmen throughout the world the best tool possible. And that same high quality marks our do-it-yourself products which gives professional results. Quality is our greatest salesman.
Today, Port Austin Level is guided by a third generation of the founders. This third generation pledges continued high quality and service. The world is our market, and our customers are the most important people in the world.
Remember. . The bitterness of poor quality is long remembered after the sweetness of low price is forgotten. . .
